I had someone send a message asking for a picture. My profile says I don't have one to send. He sent me email address. My profile says I won't email off this site until I've gotten to know someone. He was also more than 200 miles away. I turned him down. He called me a dried up old prune. I laughed. A couple of days later....he emailed me again. Said he still wanted to see what I look like. I reminded him what he called me....and turned him down again.

I'm pissed because you answered my email even though you looked at my profile and knew you weren't interested. Next time just delete my email and ignore me. I could be trying to convince somebody else I'm not full of shit.

Have you noticed a lot of folk getting angry at you regularly? you do know that this is a sex site, if you sign up, you agree to have sex with anyone who asks...doesn't it say that in the small print? I'm sure that's how it was sold to me, hot milfs begging for sex...lol

I agree, however i do think a response should be polite if the enquiry is . Also i would always respond , it is the gentlemanly thing to do, even if it is to say no

My fav is the no, then the insults about my body, then the retry a day or week later

It's such a tiny word too! "no" Using more than all the road!

When I'm trying to let someone down gently, usually a blue moon event mind, I usually confess to my terrible flatulence and halitosis issues. That coupled with the hairy sweaty scottish arse usually does the trick........

you turned down LIndo? what are you nuts? anywhoooo......i particularly enjoy the vitriolic responses when i ask for a character reference from their wife since i specifically state i do not do married men. You cannot conceive the many without the one.

Even if I were flooding every local-ish woman on the site looking for action, I'd still be polite about it. Moving on to the next prospect seems like a better use of one's time than trying to get past a clear rejection.

Totally off-topic, I just read (or maybe re-read) your pinned message about messages taking time to show up. I have a more realistic explanation. This site has thousands of people on at any given moment. That almost certainly takes more server bandwidth than a single server can handle. As I write this, the front page says that 706 users and 615 "nude models" are broadcasting. Streaming that much video definitely takes more server bandwidth than a single server can handle. So the site is definitely running on a bunch of servers, not just one. Additionally, no site with paying users wants content to disappear in the event of technical difficulties. That means that in addition to multiple servers to handle bandwidth demands, the site needs multiple copies of its databases on various machines -- probably geographically distributed -- to make sure the site doesn't crash and lose paying customers, or even non-paying customers who might pay at some point in the future. Because the databases are distributed, and lots of servers are needed to deliver data to users, there are going to be times when a blog message that goes into one copy of the database takes time to be replicated on the other copies of the database. And until the duplication has reached every other database server, users who are on servers other than the one where a blog message was initially posted are not going to see it.

oic.... totally went over my head but I trust your knowledge... An example is that Free Adult Dating and Personals may have a server room somewhere on the west coast, somewhere on the east coast, somewhere in Europe, and somewhere in Asia. If someone on a slow server in Asia writes a blog message, it goes to the Asia server immediately, and gets copied to the other servers through fairly slow data links, so it might take a few hours. where the heck have you been? I can't imagine spending time away from here!! that is sooo not 'normal'...lol anyways... glad you're back and thanks for commenting. I've been pretty busy with off-line stuff lately. And when I'm off long enough that my favorite bloggers accumulate more than one or two unread messages, I sometimes put off reading them until I can read several in a row, so the unread count doesn't get mixed up. Glad to be back and welcomed.
